Eric Calvario - Best Man

I met Eric at UC Irvine through the Student Parent Orientation Program (SPOP) and we bonded through our mutual love of 90s R&B and large biceps (his are a lot larger than mine). Eric has been by my side through thick and thin, from moving to different cities, to carne asada burrito runs at midnight, to being right there when I proposed to Stella. Somehow, Eric is always camera-ready.

Nehal shahin - maid of honor

Nehal is my best of best friends. We met in the 8th grade, through a science class. But our friendship grew outside of school, through music, letters and family. She taught me how to dance, took me skydiving on my 19th birthday and has always been there for me through thick and thin. I was her Maid of Honor and I’m so excited to have her as mine!

Lucas Richardson - Groomsman

I’ve known Lucas since I was 3 years old, so basically 30 years now. Over the last 30 years, we’ve seen the invention of the pager, the mobile phone, the HDTV, the internet, and somehow BMX became an olympic sport. I lived a few houses down from Lucas and when we weren’t hitting up the dirt jumps behind our houses, we were playing N64, or toilet-papering some unsuspecting friend’s house. From jazz band to brewery tours, Lucas has been there for all of it and will always be a true brother to me.

DARBY CULLEN - bridesmaid

Darby is my sorority Grand Big Sister. We met at UC Irvine through Kappa Alpha Theta recruitment and we had an instant connection. We made so many unforgettable Theta memories together! Life happens after college and we reconnected a few years ago, and I’m so glad we did. Darby is a life long friend, and we always pick up right where we leave off. She is caring, creative, discerning and someone I look up to and respect dearly.

Lorenzo Munger - Groomsman

Lorenzo and I met a long time ago in a land far far away. San Marcos. While we went to different elementary schools, we met when our after-school programs would get together for certain events. Especially at the pool, where we would practice our front-flips and back-flips off the diving boards. We eventually went to the same middle school, high school, college, pledged the same fraternity, and joined the Kappa Sigma Exec Board. Somehow our lives have followed a very similar path and because of that, I consider Lorenzo one of my closest of friends.

Stella and Ayako.JPG

Ayako ikeda - bridesmaid

Ayako is my Roomie. Not currently, but we first met when we lived next door to each other in the dorms and then moved out together (with Rochelle) to an apartment that we called ‘home’ until we graduated college. We’ve had so many fun and memorable times together these past 14 years, like our first Vegas trip when we turned 21, our reunion in South Korea, and our Big Bear trip. Ayako is one of the most responsible and strong-minded friends in my life, and I can’t wait to celebrate my big day with her.

Armen Aghajani - Groomsman

I met Armen when I pledged the Kappa Sigma Fraternity at UC Irvine. Armen was the guy that memorized every pledge brothers’ phone number and still knows them to this day. We worked for campus housing, staffed SPOP, and led the fraternity as President (Armen) and Vice President (Me) trying to make sure we didn’t get kicked off campus. Once we started working full-time, we stayed in touch through lunch meetings where we could be confiding in each other one moment and making fun of each other the next. Armen knows where all the bodies are buried.

JANICE KIM - bridesmaid

Janice is one of my closest friends who entered my life in 2009, when I journeyed out to South Korea to get in touch with my roots. Janice and I connected through volunteer work as co-coordinators for our province. Our friendship grew from late-night planning meetings, event management and cultural trips. Janice is the kind of person whose kindness, love and support never stops, even 6,000 miles away, and even when she is busy with advancing human rights. She always makes time for me and i am super thrilled she will be joining us on our wedding day!

Chris Hudson - Groomsman

Chris and I first met in the Kappa Sigma Fraternity at UC Irvine, but grew closer when we became Alumnus Advisors for the chapter. From there we ran our first half marathon together, traveled to Thailand, and graduated from these baggy grey suits to the cleanest, fittest suits you could imagine, made by Chris himself (#hudsoncustomsuits). Chris is the type of guy that can teach himself how to do most anything and I really admire him for that. Chris and his wife Michelle really took me in as part of their family and they will always be part of mine.

Stella and Nishma.jpg

NISHMA DOSHI - bridesmaid

Nishma is one of my best friends from Walnut. We met in middle school and grew closer throughout the years thanks to our shared affinity for campus club involvement, Publications and volunteering. I love Nishma because she is adventurous, fearless and independent. She took me to my first Linkin Park and Maroon 5 concert, convinced me to enroll in a salsa dance class, visited me in Korea, and changed my life by introducing me to Halal Guys in NYC! She is one of the smartest ladies I know, a world traveler and my Energizer Bunny.

David Duran - Groomsman

I met David when I pledged the Kappa Sigma Fraternity at UC Irvine. David is the perfect combination of honesty, puns, intellect, and charm. Combine that with the fact that he can sing and dance, and he somehow steals the show from me in every way possible. David and I joined the Exec Board of the fraternity, staffed SPOP together, and performed in UCI’s Greek Songfest where we put on renditions of broadway musicals. David is one of those friends that you can invite to a family gathering, which I did in El Paso, TX, and he will fit right in.

Stella and Tiffany.jpg

TIFFANY LEIMAN - bridesmaid

Tiffany is one of my closest girlfriends and pretty much my little sister. We first met in a non-profit organization a few years ago and we became friends instantly. She is selfless and sweet, and she is a positive force in my life. Tiffany is so special because she puts 110% effort into everything she does. I am so grateful for our friendship and especially for all the times she has driven through the worst of LA traffic just to grab dinner with me. Tiffany is someone I wish I’d met sooner because we get along so well and have so much fun together!

Jhustin Abeleda - Groomsman

Jhustin and I first met in the Kappa Sigma Fraternity at UC Irvine, but grew closer when we joined the Exec Board of the fraternity as Vice President and VP of Brotherhood Development. Jhust is the type of guy that will go out of his way to make sure everyone has a good time and gets home safe at the end of the night. Jhust has a huge heart and even let me stay with him in SF for a week and join in on his family’s Christmas celebration which had the best food of any Christmas I’ve ever been to. Especially his Aunt’s sisig. During that week in SF I did cook him some pretty amazing meals as well to help pay him back for his hospitality. Everyone needs a Jhust in their life.

Stella and Rochelle.jpeg

ROCHELLE TUTTLE - bridesmaid

Rochelle is my Roomie because after we met in the dorms, we moved out together (with Ayako) where we shared some crazy fun times together until we graduated college. Rochelle is one of the chillest and most open-minded friends I know, and her honest and understanding perspective keeps me grounded and humble. It’s good vibes all around with this one, and I can’t wait to celebrate my big day with her!
